People with autoimmune thyroid disease are also at higher risk for autoimmune alopecia areata, which is patchy hair loss. Perhaps: Perhaps. Levothyroxine could be the wrong med for you if your free T3 (liothyronine) and reverse T3 (liothyronine) ratio is off. If so you need armour or some other sustained release t3 (liothyronine). Also check for lead and mercury toxicity. This can promote hair loss too. Also rule out B12 deficiency.
