Yes: The buttock pain is most often from L5 or s1 nrrve root pressure.

Related to disc: Disc herniation at the l5-s1 level can produce back, buttock, leg and foot pain, weakness and numbness. If your pain is not better after physical therapy, have a re-evaluation by your doctor to see if you need further treatment.
