Having pain in my sciatic nerve down to my foot from a herniated disc at l5 s1. i had two spinal injections and it has not completely resolved my pain in my low back or foot pain. do i continue w/injections and how much time will it take?

If you have well-documented nerve root compression, an epidural steroid may not always help. Two injections are sufficient. Physical therapy and exercise are the next appropriate steps. If you can wait, your disc may desiccate and shrink over 9-10 months.

I am going to give you an option that is not regularly reported. Back surgeons do just that. as a podiatrist I worked for a back surgeon after a year he fired me. I was helping the pt he wanted to do surgery on. I was helping with lifts and custom orthotics. I found that as we get older we develop rotation of hips or a limb length difference. It worth a try it beats injections that rarely work
