Ovulation pain: In a typical menstrual cycle (~28 days) ovulation occurs 2 weeks before or after the 'period'- many women can feel this occur (the egg being released from the ovary) and it feels like cramping or pain in the lower abdomen/pelvic region. It is called mittelschmerz.
