Naproxen is an NSAID: Naproxen is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine). It is in the same class as Ibuprofen (advil). Medications such as these are very effective pain medications for mild to moderate pain. Overall very safe however with prolonged use may need to watch out for stomach or kidney problems.
