No: Chalazions of the eye have to resolve on their own or be surgically drained and removed by an opthalmologist. It takes many days of warm compresses before you see any improvement. If a week has gone by with absolutely no improvement, see an opthalmologist. Believe it or not, they usually do go away on their own, but it takes patience!

Doxycycline: Doxycycline can be used to thin out the oils in meibomian glands to facilitate drainage. Warm compress is still your best bet. If you warm a small potato in the microwave until warm and wrap it with a damp washcloth it will hold its heat much longer.
