Buspar (buspirone) not culprit: Buspar (buspirone) treats generalized anxiety disorder. Occasionally generalized anxiety disorder can decompensate under stress into a panic attack. That does not mean that you have panic disorder by any means. Buspar (buspirone) does not treat panic disorder so will not prevent panic attacks other than by lowering your overall generalized anxiety level. That level however can get elevated by stressful events. You always have the option of blaming it on hormones. Best wishes.
