Quite possibly: I have seen this combo work well in a number of patients. Wellbutrin is activating in this regard. My general preference is to keep the Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) at 50 mg a day and to start the wellbutrin in the xl form at 150 mg in the morning and only raise it to 300 mg in the morning if the desired response is not reached within 2 weeks. Possibly: Wellbutrin (bupropion) is an activating antidepressant medication. It is generally prescribed for the vegetative/anhedonia types of symtpoms.
