Yes: Sure that is good exersise for a 19 yr.Old.If it become easy u may want to jog every day(one off day per wk) and incorporate a weight program w/ it 2 or 3 times a week.Best of luck.

That sounds good.: Your heart rate needs to be elevated for at least 20 minutes to achieve the true benefits of cardiovascular exercise, so 45 minutes is surely enough time, and jogging every other day allows your body to rest and recuperate in between. As your jogs become easier, you can try to push it a bit faster, longer and more frequent.
