Broken foot: Depending on which bone(s) you fractured, the treatment usually involves immobilzation (cast) or a cast boot. If it is just a stress fracture of the metatarsal, a simple surgical shoe would be suficient. If the fracture is treated properly and you minimize motion, the fracture should heal adequately in 4-6 weeks. If not a delayed union or non-union could develop.Follow-up x-rays for healing progr.
