A few approaches: Typically, bell's palsy has an uneventful full recovery in over 90% with or without therapy. Some doctors use anti-viral drugs, and steroids. B-complex vitamins of unclear benefit. Protecting the afflicted eye which fails to close, against corneal abrasions should be main focus, and maybe should be temporarily patched.

Depends on progress: Bell's palsy is thought to be due to a viral infection affecting the facial nerve, although the condition has been associated with a variety of disorders. Most cases of bell's palsy are mild, and patients will start improving in 2 weeks. Most will regain normal function. Depending on how fast you are improving, your doctor may start you on Prednisone or Acyclovir to treat the palsy.
