A member asked:

What can i do to accelerate my recovery rate? i have bell's palsy and i been like this for about 3 months?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See an ENT: Recovery rates from bell's palsy vary widely. When symptoms first appear, steroids (such as prednisone) improve recovery, and anti-virals (such as Acyclovir or valacyclovir) may provide an added benefit. After 3 months, these medications are unlikely to be helpful. Sometimes nerve translocation surgeries can help restore facial movement; consult with an ent.
