Second opinion: Not sure why you would be intolerant of most inhailers. It's not that common. If you're intolerant to the powder used in inhailers, there are other formulations available that can deliver the same medications to your lungs such as nebulized medicines. Also, there are other methods of asthma treatment such as xolair which may be right for you.

Pulmonologist?: The four essential components of asthma management are: routine monitoring of symptoms and lung function, patient education, control of trigger factors and amelioration of comorbid conditions, and pharmacologic therapy.

Chronic Cough: I am sorry you are feeling this way. You may need to have your phlegm checked for infections. Also a common cause in a person in your age bracket is "aspiration" or "reflux". Often underestimated. Try to elevate the head of your bed with a wedge when you sleep to prevent "stuff from falling down in your lungs". Also keep 4 hours between supper and bed. Try to not talk when you eat and swallow slow.
