The only people who need B12 injections are people with pernicious anemia, an uncommon genetic condition in which you can absorb B12 from the GI tract. Anyone else who has B12 deficiency can be treated either with b12-containing food or with oral supplements. And if B12 levels are normal, there's no indication for supplements.
