You're fine: If this has been stable for years, we'll chalk it up to a "minor mystery of medicine". Sometimes it's a marker for a couple of relatively uncommon blood diseases, but since they have not declared themselves & would have in this time, i'd urge you to forget it. I'm betting "a genetic tendency to high levels of the carrier protein.".
