18 y/o male with hypothyroidism. diagnosed @ 15. is this common? should i just take the synthroid (thyroxine) are ask doc to further investigate as too why?

Hypothyroidism: Hypothyroidism is common. Age 15 is a bit early, but it happens. Most likely this is autoimmune hashimotos thyroiditis. It tends to run in families. Rarely, other hormone deficiencies can occur in addition to the thyroid. Your doctor may wish to address this.
