Anything possible: But not likely. Sometimes strep can be present in your throat without producing disease, but if your neck swelling is due to infection, something else is likely to be going on. Would have to examine you to see what is there, and lengthy history is needed as well. See your local physician.

Treatment for step has been done for almost two weeks. Ive still had persistent sore throat since. Tested negative for strep A againear pain, consistent sore throat for 11 days and swollen neck nodes. What could be cause?
Is a neg strep test always right? I got 2 done within days apart from having a sore throat on and off with swollen lymph nodes for 2-3 weeks. Sore throat eventually went away but neck still feels tight/swollen. I don't have a PCP?
