Treatment for step has been done for almost two weeks. ive still had persistent sore throat since. tested negative for strep a againear pain, consistent sore throat for 11 days and swollen neck nodes. what could be cause?

Make sure that the post treatment throat culture is not just a rapid strep culture. To detect other throat pathogens you'll need a regular throat culture the results of which take up to 3 days. It will not detect a viral throat infection but most viral throat infections resolve after a week or so.
