Sore throat/work: Yes if you do not have high fever, you can go to work, do not drink out of the same glass and do not kiss anybody.

Strep throat: If you have strep throat, you can go back to work 24 hours after you have started antibiotics. Having a viral sore throat does not prevent you from going to work provided you do not have high fever.
