A member asked:

Why does clonazepam make me feel rejuvenated and full of energy during the day but at night time before bed and knock me out and have great sleep?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Klonopin (clonazepam) : Klonopin is an antianxiety medication when anxiety is high. In the morning anxiety tends to higher and includes symptoms of muscle tension that is very fatiguing. When this fatigue is alleviated, you feel more energy and that level of energy exceeds any of the sedating properties of the clonazepam. Clonazepam is also a sedative hypnotic. At night when you wish to go to sleep and your body is prepared for sleep and things are quieting down, it works in your brain as a sedative hypnotic and allows you to sleep well.
