I was told that gabapentin would help me to get off klonopin (clonazepam) that i was taken for insomnia and in the mean time help me with sleep and mild depression. would you agree with that?

Klonopin, (clonazepam) Gabapentin: I understand your concern about insomnia and mild depression. Klonopin (clonazepam) is used to treat Seizure disorders or Panic disorder. It is not a medication for insomnia. Gabapentin is for treatment of Seizures or Nerve pain. It is not used to get off Klonopin (clonazepam). See Psychiatrist for stress causing anxiety, insomnia and mild depression. Therapy, Relaxation, Visual Imagery, and Yoga will help these symptoms.
