see your doc again: Some places don't give contrast (iv or oral) for appendicitis. The scans are better with both oral and IV contrast, but not always necessary, especially if the appendix is clearly seen on the ct. Ultrasound can also sometimes be helpful. Make sure you see your doc again because early appendicitis may not be seen on ct...
