Orthostatic changes: After being in bed for a while your cardiovascular system adjusts to less blood pressure to your legs. When you get up to go to the bathroom the blood rushes to your leg veins and, if you don't get up slowly enough, your heart has to compensate for the drop in your upper body blood pressure by beating faster, try sitting up and pausing for a while before standing to walk to the john.
