I sprained my shoulder for a second time now. i got x-ray and it was fine but my doc recommend mri. is mri necessary? its starting be less painful

Possibly not: If u have " sprained " your shoulder a second time a referral to an orthopedic surgeon may be indicated. Ask your primary care physician. Frequently a good shoulder exam by an ors can yield a diagnosis ( more specific than 'sprain') that would make a MRI scan unnecessary
