hard to say: Without examining the wound it is hard to say. As a rule they are seldom used on the bottom of the foot because of their tendency to become infected.The flow of blood can be reduced by using a pressure bandage over the site. Frequent cleaning and monitoring of the site should be sufficient and the bleeding should stop .If not, seek an evaluation.
