A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible migraine: You may be seeing squiggly peripheral lines of an migraine aura that is followed by a weakness/ill feeling, even without an accompanying headache. Sometimes people believe they are seeing floaters, which are distinguished from auras by their small size and absent visual change. An aura gives you the impression of an altered visual field--eg., zigzag lines, shimmering, peripheral vision change >15'.
