Causes unclear but: Floaters are extremely common in older people but not that common at age 26. They can be annoying but are not considered serious. While not yet proven, it makes sense that antioxidants likely can prevent floaters; consider vits a, c, e, zinc, selenium, curcumin, blueberries & resveratrol. Laser treatment often helps but has certain risks. See www.Vitreousfloaters.Com/images/gellerprelimmanu.Doc.

Common: Floaters are common and generally of no concern unless they are new. They can be annoying, but most people adapt to them. There are controversial (even dangerous) treatments for floaters, such as laser or surgical removal, but most ophthalmologists will tell you to just live with them.
