No effect: Calpeotectin detects severe inflamation of the intestine, not affected by Protonix (pantoprazole) and the like, or vitamins for that matter. It should apply to cats as well.

Isnt this an interesting cycle that PPIs reduce stomach acid to help with gastritis but reduction of stomach acid decreases (for example) vitamin B-12 absorption that can also cause gastritis. What is way out?
Can I take vitamin B12 supplements with double-dose PPIs for reflux? Worried about the Vit B12 deficiency that might be caused with long-term PPI use.
