Best is 50-80: The official "normal range" is 30-100 but many experts feel the optimal range is 50-80. Most adults need 5-8000 iu of D3 a day to achieve optimal levels. It is also wise to take a prenatal vitamin with adequate folic acid. See http://tinyurl.com/2chkcer for a good article on Vitamin D in general. 30-100. : A normal range for vitamin D would be 30 to 100, so under any circumstance it should be at least 30. Would help to supplement 2000IU of vitamin D3 daily. And supplement folic acid and take prenatal vitamins if your future plans include pregnancy.
