should be: Prednisone has been associated with wt gain. So now that you are off, you should be able to go back to your previous regimen/progress.

steroids ; bypass: Yes, you can lose the weight again. It will be more difficult than losing weight initially after the bypass though. Also, it is good that you stopped Prednisone because steroids can increase your chances of gastric ulcers in your pouch.
