why bypass failed: It sounds as if the bypass surgery didnt teach you about portion control. Making good choices and portion control can help you to lose the weight as could psychological intervention as to the reasons for overeating. I suggest both, try to join a group that will teach you good eating habits while you learn why you have a tendency to overeat.

Wt gain after bypass: You need to get re-engaged with your weight loss program where you had surgery (assuming they offer a support program). Patients who attend support groups are more successful than those who do not attend. There may also be an anatomical reason why you have gained weight like an enlarged gastric pouch, an enlarged anastomosis, or both, which can be corrected with revisional surgery.
