See your family md: Your family md can refer you to an oral specialist or oropharyngeal surgeon if needed. Sounds like an infection and you should be given antibiotics and antiseptic gargles and mouth washes.

Ulcer: Probably an aphthous ulcer. Stress is one of the things that activates viruses that live along nerve trunks. Usually lasts 1-14 days and self heals. your Dentist can advise OTCs to help with the discomfort. Laser Rx may be helpful. See your Dentist.
