A member asked:

When i swallow, yawn and open my mouth wide i get a crackling sound in my ear is this serious i had it for as long as i can remember and theres no pain

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: These maneuvers straighten the Eustachian tube that goes from the middle ear into the throat. It is likely your tubes rest in a closed position & open when straightened. This permits air to enter the middle ear & creates the sound. I consider it quite normal.
