The dose you described is safe to take, however, going 10 days with a diseased tooth may not be wise. If there is an infection it could spread while you are waiting. Contact the local dental school for an urgent visit.

Most toothache is caused by infection. Pain killers will not cure infection. Antibiotics may control spread of infection and reduce inflammation, but will not cure Detal infection.
