how long does dry socket take to heal?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Nathaniel Chan
19 years experience Dentistry
Long time: Dry socket occurs when the blood clot that is supposed to form and seal the hole from an extraction comes out. The extraction site is therefore unable to heal. Go see your dentist because they can clean out the dry socket, re stimulate bleeding and there will be relief almost immediately.
