No relationship: A drink or two is ok if you are over the age limit, have no liver disease and don't drive. It will have no effect on the rct.

A Root Canal drink?: Yes, in moderation...1or 2. But not at all if you received sedation for the root canal therapy, or if the dds perscribed a narcotic for pain or Metronidazole as your antibiotic. You will not like the side effects.

Beer with RCT: Alcohol after a root canal is my recommended choice for pain (lol). Seriously, shouldn't be a problem unless you are taking pain meds or antibiotics that can interact with it. Tylenol (acetaminophen) can be toxic to the liver especially when combined with alcohol. Narcotics such as vicodin can cause extreme drowsiness with alcohol. Antibiotics can be affected by alcohol. If not on meds then okay

Not recommended: drinking alcohol at least 12 hours prior and 24 hours after. Take care.
