A member asked:

Can 6/9 (with -8 minus power) of one eye can be corrected to 6/6 (without any minus power) through lasik?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lazy eye?: If your best corrected vision is 6/9 then it is unlikely you will achieve 6/6 with any type of correction, meaning the maximum your eye can see by any means is 6/9. f this eye has amblyopia (lazy eye) then not possible to achieve 6/6 acuity. Discuss this with your ophthalmologist (eye surgeon) during a treatment evaluation
