Prednisone?: It could be because you are on prednisone. That can lead to an increase of ear canal infections. You can use 50% alcohol or 50% vinegar drops to put into your ears after water contact to reduce the chance of swimmer's ear. If you have a current infection, the alcohol drops will burn and should be avoided.
