I got an ear infection 2 weeks ago and ruptured my eardrum. Went back to the family doctor yesterday and he said there's still a hole covering about 1/3 of eardrum. He referred me to an ENT doctor. Will I need to have surgery? I'm concerned.
Have small ruptured eardrum, ENT put me on antibiotic and drops and to come back in 2wks. After a week of meds still feels like water trapped in ear and hearing muffled. Anything I can do to relieve the water trapped feeling or just wait another wee?

My hearing becomes muffed after being in water. Is it possible i've damaged my ear drum, or have an ear infection? Hearing in other ear seems better.
