Possibly: If you mean fluid in the middle ear (/behind the eardrum), it depends a lot on its viscosity. If thick, can impair mobility of the bones in the ear (stirrup/hammer/anvil), and thus hearing. Should see a pediatric ENT dr for eval, as might recommend tubes to aid drainage.
