The usual things: What happens if shower water gets in one's ear in the setting of an ear infection are the same usual things that happen in the setting of no ear infection: the water comes out, which is commonly the case; some of the water gets stuck in the ear canal due to excess wax, but does dry out later; or least likely, moisture stays in the ear canal longer and leads to canal inflammation (swimmer's ear).
