I have been taking elavil (amitriptyline) for chronic migraines for 3 months; i have gained 10lbs during this time. is there another medicine that wont cause weight ?

Elavil (amitriptyline): Talk with your doctor about other alternatives such as another Tricyclic antidepressant Pamelor or Norpramine, or a mood stabilizer such as Topamax, (topiramate) all with minimum wt. gain side-effect.
