Is it true that hay fever, other allergies originate in the gut? caused by a virus or bacteria in the gut? thank you.

Not really.: The ability to be allergic is inherited. If and to what you become allergic is influenced by multiple factors including exposures to foods, inhalants, infectious agents and the timing of those exposures. Other environmental exposures likely play a role, like pollutants.
