Many possible causes: Ringing in the ears has many possible causes. Mri is used to help to rule out possibilities such as acoustic neuroma, multiple sclerosis, arteriovenous malformation and labyrinthitis. I've also read that use of antibiotics can be associated with ringing in the years. You mentioned using an antibiotic ointment. Please check with your doctor to see if this is associated with ringing in the ears.

Sinus and ear infections every 4 months or so. But MRI and CT scan show no sinusitis or issues. Is it possible to have chronic issues normal scans?
