Pituitary gland: Hi, yes, MRI is a very good imagining modality to evaluate posterior brain, but But MRI might not detect microadenomas that are smaller than 3 mm (about 1/8 inch) across, follow up imaging if there is any doubt could be helpful.

Depends where u look: Actually, the resolution of a high Tesla magnet scanner (3+) can get down to lesions of about 1 mm in diameter but it also depends on which substance of the brain is being looked into as to whether artifact can obscure the view more or less making that 1mm. lesion more difficult to detect. Therefore, I wouldn't disagree with my colleagues that
