Not from your back: Whole body numbness is most certainly not from your lumbar spine. The low back could contribute to some back and leg pain, and occasional numbness, but not above that. The possible diagnoses are extraordinarily wide, and could include thyroid issues. I suggest you see your primary care physician to allow him/her the opportunity to get a thorough history and physical exam.
