Nothing helpful: As you have probably been told by your physician, drinking alcohol with medications like lithobid, depakote, and seroquel (quetiapine) is not recommended. It will accentuate central nervous system depression, leaving you sedated or worse. Additionally, alcohol may destabilize your sleep and mood further. Maintaining balance is essential for people on such medications. Please abstain from alcohol.

Thought to add: I agree with everything Dr. Pappas says & add that while most of the time alcohol increases sedative effects of other drugs a person is taking know that sometimes reactions can be violent (100x WORST HANGOVER ever). And, when we say "Don't combine alcohol & prescription meds, that's a 24/7 medical recommendation. We don't mean JUST AT THE SAME TIME as when you take another medicine.
