I have a bipolar disorder and i usually take quetiapine (seroquel) 200 mg just 1tab while on sleeping. i drink alcohol sometimes but i used to gap like 6-7 hours to take a medicine. meanwhile, does it harmful in my body to combine such my habit.

Interactions: Although the Drugs.Com drug interaction checker only refers to minor but unspecified interactions between Seroquel & alcohol- I would recommend against it. The fact that you have to gap taking your medication is suggestive that you have made ingesting alcohol a priority over taking the Seroquel in a timely manner (as was prescribed for you).

It is best to discuss medication with your Psychiatrist who knows your medical history for a thorough evaluation and recommendations for treatment. If you are not confident with your Doctor please see another for a 2nd opinion. Have a physical exam to rule out illness and see a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple forms of psychotherapy.
