A member asked:

Is it recommendable for a person with overweight problems to be kept on 100 mg of seroquel (quetiapine)? also on 1600mg of lithobid

Talk to your doctor: I would say that your doctor or other prescriber has a good clinical rationale for placing you on Seroquel (quetiapine) and Lithobid. If you are uncomfortable with such a regimen due to possible side effects or collateral effects having to do with unrelated issues to the psychiatric reasons for which the medications are being used then, you should discuss this with him or her.

No: weight gain is not propotional to doses, it is inherent in AAP and Lithium with a lot of individual variations
