A member asked:

When i have a panic attack my blood pressure goes up to 170/100. this lasts for about 30 min then goes dien to normal . could this be dangerous ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Please talk to your family doctor about this. This is not that common in panic disorder and makes me wonder what your baseline BP is. If you were my patient i would consult with an internist or cardiologist to try to find out why this was happening and to see what could be done to prevent high blood pressure spikes in the future.Makes me wonder about whether you could have a pheochromocytoma.
